Our two directors develop the program and design direction for 100% of our projects. The director who is responsible for a specific project maintains direct involvement with that project from initiation through completion.
Sergio Muchengwa
Sergio has served as director of Arctez from inception in 1999. He has been the managing director and principal architect involved in most projects from inception to completion. His primary responsibility has always related to strategizing for the firm and keeping its vision alive.
Prior to setting up Arctez, he was senior architect at Conscom Botswana, where he specialized in post contract administration and detailing. He was also responsible for the consultants team coordination, design, detailing and contract documentation preparation for the Botswana Television and Radio Complex valued at over R400 million, while working at Tswana Design Architects.
His career has spanned 11 years in a variety of architectural, interior design and project management positions. He was awarded the Dr Ndilila Best Student Award in 1994, was the best architectural student in 1995 and graduated with honours.
He is a Chartered Architect and has worked on numerous projects in Angola, Tanzania, Zambia, United States of America, South Africa and Botswana.
He is also a certified PPP practitioner.

Bwezani Banda
Bwezani has been a registered architect for the past 18 years. He graduated with a B. Arch from University of Zambia in 1988 and worked briefly in Zambia before moving to Botswana in 1990. Bwezani has mainly been involved in post contract administration and has a wealth of knowledge in that regard.
He has been involved in numerous projects ranging from the Social Science faculty at University of Botswana to the Ministry of Education and Immigration HQ (Block 6 & 8) when he was a senior architect at Conscom Botswana and the Police College in Otse where he worked as the Project Architect while working for FMA Architects.
He joined Arctez in 2001 as a partner. He brought with him the expertise learnt from administering projects in the Public Sector.
He is currently pursuing his final year in Msc. Project Management at University of Pretoria.
